Three students from Shimla got selected for the 14th PAMA international competition

Proving their iron, the local school students participated in the 10th National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition for Northern Region, 2013 at Lalit Mahajan SVM School, New Delhi which was organized by Semas Academy and PAMA-India, through which the students were to be selected for the 14th PAMA (Pan-Pacific Abacus and Mental Arithmetic) International Competition to be held in Hong Kong, 2013.

Shimla team bagged the 2nd overall team prize with a cash prize of Rs. 5000. Five students of different categories bagged the Champions of Champion title.

Champions of Champion:

Kids level- D. Anula, class -2nd, Jesus and Mary School

8th kyu (3rd level) – Arsh Sen, class-2nd, St. Edwards School.

7th kyu (4th level) –Vishudha Sood, class -2nd , Loreto Convent ,Tara Hall

6th kyu (5th level) – Vidushi Gupta, Class -5th, Jesus and Mary School

3th kyu (8th Level)- Shashwat Mahajan, class- 5th, St. Edwards School

Three students got selected for the 14th PAMA international competition to be held at Hong Kong, in December, later this year. These Students will also get a scholarship to participate in the international competition.

A total of 400 students from all over the northern region participated in a day-long competition. “I am happy with the region’s result and hopeful, the students will also excel in the upcoming International event. The students have a bright future and they are capable to cross every hurdle in life”,  said Sarina Bhagta, Head of Semas Academy.
