South West monsoon in full swing in HP

South West Monsoon was in full swing in state of Himachal Pradesh during last 24 hours, as many parts of the state recorded moderate to heavy rain, dipping down the mercury in the day time.

Nahan of Sirmaur got 95 mm rainfall followed by Paonta Sahib 75 mm, Dalhousie 72 mm, Chamba and Saluni 32 mm each. In Kangra district Nagrota Suriyan 52 mm, Baijnath 47 mm, Dharamshala 41 mm, Gaggal 30 mm and Guler 25 mm. Sujanpur Tira in Hamirpur district 31 mm and Renuka Ji 20 mm, Una and Bangana 31 mm each and Sundernagar in Mandi district 26 mm, Shimla 15 mm and Manali 4 mm.

Maximum temperature of Shimla was recorded 22 degrees, Sundernagar 29.2 degrees, Bhuntar 27.5 degrees, Kalpa 23.2 degrees, Dharamshala 24.8 degrees, Una 31.6 degrees, Solan 28 degrees, Nahan 28.4 degrees and Manali 21.3 degrees.

The Met office warned of heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places in lower and middle hills of the state while few places in the high reaches. South West Monsoon would remained aggressive in next three to four days.
