Himachal Pradesh had little respite from heatwave this morning as thundershowers lashed few parts of the state after overcast and mainly hazy weather.

With downpour in parts of Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi and Lahaul and Spiti districts, light speed winds blew this morning which plummet the mercury in the state.

Heat wave conditions were prevailing in lower parts of district Una, Hamirpur, Sirmaur and Bilaspur as mercury rose upto 20.8 degrees Celsius in Shimla on Sunday, 43.5 degrees in Una, almost 40 degrees in Sundernagar, 35 degrees in Dharamshala, 37 degrees in Bhuntar and  Nahan, and 26 degrees in Kalpa of Kinnaur district, which is likely to come down today with inclement weather.

Tourists thronging in major hill stations like Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie and Khajjiar were enjoying the soothing cold winds blowing in the region following sudden change in the weather. Manali got 15 mm rain showers,  Sundernagar 1.5 mm whereas Kalpa and Bhuntar got 5 mm each.

The Met office said that weather would be mainly dry in next 24 hours in the state.
