Free travel in public transport for school students in H.P. : Virbhadra Singh

Himachal Praadesh government has announced free travel in HRTC buses for school students from primary to plus two level on the occasion of forty third statehood day.

Addressing state level statehood day function organized at Senior Secondary School Suni, 50 kilometers from Shimla, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that state government extend free travel facility to all state run school students of primary to plus two standard. Currently HRTC was extending subsidized travel facility to students in the state after charging 10 percent of bus fare from them.

Mr. Singh also announced up gradation of two of each high and primary schools to plus two and middle school level respectively during his statehood speech among the applauds of local people. He said that industrial training institute Suni would also be upgraded after starting new trades in the institute. He also announced Rs. 25 lakh to built stadium at Suni. Chief Minister also declares that from this session science and commerce streams would be started in senior secondary school Suni currently imparting academic education only in humanity streams .
