Governor inaugurates Kangra Painting Exhibition

Smt. Urmila Singh, Governor inaugurated the two day long  Kangra painting exhibition jointly put up by Kangra Art Promotion Society and Department of Art, Language and Culture at Mcleodganj in Kangra district yesterday.

Governor lauded the efforts of the organizers and said that efforts should be made to preserve and promote the unique Kangra  School of Painting. She congratulated all the artists  who contributed for putting up the exhibition and evinced keen interest in the paintings.

She was accompanied by Shri Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister, Shri S. Roy, Chief Secretary, Smt. Manisha Nanda, Principal Secretary, Art, Language and Culture, Shri Bharat Khera, Secretary, GAD, officers of district administration and prominent people of the area.
