Snowfall continues on high reaches of Himachal Pradesh

The cold wave conditions still persist in the state, following frequent spell of snowfall on the high reaches of Himachal Pradesh as weather was partly cloudy today.

Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul & Spiti registered 13 cm fresh snowfall and Udaipur 7 cm. The high reaches of Kinnuar, Kullu, Chamba and Kangra also had light to moderate snowfall in last 24 hours.

There was cold wave in the middle hills and plains. Keylong was coldest in the state with minus 3.5 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar was at one degree, Solan 1.8 degrees, Manali was 2 degrees, Una 3.6 degrees, Shimla, Mandi and Nahan in Sirmour 4.5 degrees each, Palampur, Dharamshala in Kangra and Bhuntar in Kullu 6 degrees each.

The Met office forecast rain or snow at few parts of high reaches, however it would be mainly dry in rest of the state.
