Week long book fair in Shimla

The National Book Trust (NBT) has organized a week long book fair at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex beginning from May 12 to May 17, 2012. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Director of Indian Institute of Advance Study, Professor Peter Ronald De-Souza, were present as chief guests at the inauguration ceremony.

Addressing media persons, Director of NBT, Mr. M.A. Sikander said that more than 50 publishers are likely to showcase their books in the Shimla book fair where book lovers, children and general public could avail 10 percent discount, moreover NBT readers would be given a 20 percent discount. Number of other programs to promote book reading, interactions among readers and publishers would be organised during the next three days.
