CM unveils statue of Maharana Pratap at Pong Dam

    The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh unveiled the statue of the great Rajput warrior, Maharana Pratap at Pong Dam today. The statute of Chittor warrior was sculptured by Fakir Chand and Budhdev Parida, son and father duo, from, Rishikesh, Haridwar. Weighing 3000 kilograms, 15 feet in height and 16 feet in length the statue made at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh stands at the pong dam reservoir.

     

    MPP and Power Minister, Shri Sujan Singh Pathania, Vice-Chairman, OBC, Shri Chander Kumar and President Shri Rajput Sabha Kangra, Shri Kuldeep Thakur, welcomed the Chief Minister on the occasion. The Chief Minister directed the authorities for the beautification of the park with proper fencing. He also honoured the Sculptor on the occasion. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a bridge over Khawajji Khud on Badhukar-Riyali-Bela-Ludhiarchan road in Fatehpur constituency to cost Rs 5.12 Cr.
