Ramnath Kovind pre-pone Himachal visit

The National Democratic Alliance President nominee Ram Nath Kovind now preponed his Himachal Pradesh visit in wake of canvassing of the Presidential election after rescheduling the visit to July 13 instead of 14. The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) legislative party chief whip Mr. Suresh Bhardwaj informed in a press release issued here today that Mr. Kovind rescheduled his visit to state preponing it to July 13 from the earlier scheduled to July 14.

 

Meanwhile, party convened party legislative member (BPL) meeting at state guest house Petterhoff here on July 13 at 0930 hours to be chair by the leader of the opposition and former Chief Minister Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal. It is worthwhile to mention that UPA nominee for this post-Ms Meira Kumar coming to Himachal on Jul 9 and 10 as CLP meeting had also been convened on Jul 10 at 1200 hrs and Oakover, the residence of Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh who would preside over the meeting.

 

Congress recently has been lost support of two associate Independent members of Assembly namely Balbir Verma and Anil Dhiman and after demise of its one of MLA and cabinet minster Karan Singh it enjoys wafer thin majority. In 68 member house of state legislative assembly there are currently 67 members including Congress 35 of Congress, 28 of BJP and Four Independent, Vidhan Sabha Secretary Mr Sunder Lal Verma said and the value of each vote is of 51. BJP may wrestle about 102 to 153  votes from the Congress if its associate members likely to cross vote have 204 votes as two them were already joined  BJP.
