Congress for early sine die of HP Assembly

    Himachal Pradesh Congress today may seek for early sine die of State legislative Budget session if there would be no further agenda after Mar 31 , 2017, Leader of House and Chief Minister Mr. Virbhadra Singh indicated today. Interacting to the media persons at State Assembly complex on the sideline of unveiling of PDS digital Ration card today Mr. Singh said that the Government may urge the Speaker to sine die the House on Mar 31 as it was in session till 7 next month.

     

    “Government may urge the Speaker if there would be no agenda after Mar 31 however the House may run smoothly if it would have further business.” Mr Singh told the media persons. The Government may want to adjourn the Assembly Session early next month as by election was fixed for April 9 for Bhorang Assembly segment if  Assembly adjourns on April 7 both the Congress and BJP would not be able to go in election campaign as it would come to end on Apr 8.

     

    The Congress party has convened party Legislative Meeting in the Ruling lounge of Assembly Complex to further decide the strategy in the House as it would have to face two more days before it adjourns get pre-pone. Meanwhile sources said that Government which have to lay the CAG Report on the last day of Session may also lay it in Mar 31.

     

    This is the last budget session of State Assembly as the State would go for poll before the end of this year. After victory of BJP in the UPA and nearby Uttrakhand number of Congress seating MLAs are told to be fence sitters to joined the saffron party. Recently Congress associate members Mr. Balbir Verma joined BJP on Mar 25 and some of  party MLAs skipped dinner of Chief Minister to offer to the all the member of assembly on Mar 27. Speculation are taking rounds in the political galleries that Congress member may defect the party to ensure their election in upcoming  poll in the State.
