HPU professor appointed as Vice Chancellor of IGU Rewari

    The Himachal Pradesh University former professor S.P. Bansal (Department of Tourism and Vocational Studies Himachal Pradesh University) has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur, Rewari for a period of three years or till he attains the age of 68 years whichever is earlier. A Notification issued by Haryana Raj Bhawan said this today.

    Prof. Bansal is the first Professor of HPU to be appointed as Vice-Chancellor of a multi-faculty university. Earlier Prof. Rajinder Mishra and Prof. Indrani Chakravarti were appointed as Vice Chancellors of Sampurna Nand Sanskrit Vishwa Vidyalaya Varanasi and Music University in Khairagarh respectively.

    Prof. S P Bansal has been V C, Maharaja Agrasen University, Solan, Advisor and Visiting Professor, University of European Tourism(UET) Italia, Milano, Europe, Visitors’ Nominee(2015-18), Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), Nominated Member of Board of Governors( 2016-19) of IITTM, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, Member, New Education Policy -2015 by UGC/MHRD.
