Blood donation camp dedicated to Siachen Avalanche Martyrs held in Shimla

    Defying the severe cold waves in Shimla yesterday, as many as 80 persons donated blood in Umang Foundation’s camp dedicated to the memory of Lance Naik Hanumanthappa and other nine soldiers who laid down their lives in Siachen recently. The donors were honoured by presenting them with roses

    The donors were honored by presenting them with roses Ajai Srivastava, chairman of Umang Foundation said that the camp was organized on the call from local Kamla Nehru Hospital since there was a severe shortage of blood in all the blood banks of the town. N.K. Sharma donated blood for 82 nd time. Many tourists also donated blood. He said his organization also promotes the feeling of patriotism through blood donation.
