Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee has criticized BJP President Amit Shah for Congress mukt Bharat call and said that such campaign of the party would remain a distant dream as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has remained disappointing for the people of country.

State Congress Chief Spokesperson Naresh Chauhan said that even senior BJP leader Arun Shourie has blamed Modi government for failing to deliver on poll promises and blamed three party leaders Modi, Shah and Arun for creating hype in media without any concrete steps to improve the economy. “BJP had not even fulfilled a single poll promise and it seems that that Modi had made tall claims just to mislead people and gain power.

It seems that it was their well thought out plan to gain power through misleading statements on issues pertaining to the country says Naresh Chauhan. Chauhan has also accused BJP of cheating people of the country on issues of black money, corruption, price rise, unemployment and improving the condition of farmers but Modi government has failed to fulfill even a single promise in its one year rule.

State Congress Chief Spokesperson said that all sections of the society especially youth had fallen prey to misleading claims of Modi and BJP leaders during Lok Sabha elections which was the reason that the party came into power. But after coming into power, Modi and BJP seemed to have forgotten all the promises.

“Modi had even promised to distribute Rupees 15 lakh to each family after bringing back the black money within 100 days but after one year, the stance of central government had changed on the issue, leaving people disillusioned with the BJP rule,” he said. Chauhan added that in such a scenario when Modi government is losing people’s faith, Shah and his party’s dream of making Congress Mukt Bharat would ultimately prove to be a distant dream.
