Kalyan Singh takes oath as Himachal Pradesh Governor

Former Rajasthan Governor and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Kalyan Singh today took oath as the 26th Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir administrated oath of office to Mr. Singh in a simple but impressive ceremony at Raj Bhawan at historic Barnes court here today. He was later accorded guard of honor by the security staff.

The oath ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, leader of opposition Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal, IPH Minister Ms Vidya Stokes, Judge of High court Dharm Chand Chaudhary, Chief Secretary P. Mitra, Secretary Vidhan Sabha Sunder Lal Verma, Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Shimla Mr. Sanjay Chauhan and Deputy Mayor Tekinder Singh Panwar.
