Umang Foundation to start a drive -“Let no one die of cold”

    Umang Foundation, a public welfare trust, under its special campaign named “Let no one die of cold” will distribute woolen blankets to homeless elderly, disabled, and mentally sick persons from tomorrow January 23rd 2015 in and around Shimla.

    Ajai Srivastava, the chairman of foundation disclosed this today and said that its members will roam in and around Shimla in search of the needy at bus stops, rain shelters and railway stations to provide them with woolen blankets.

    He said the same drive was started last year in January when our foundation had distributed about 2000 blankets to the homeless, slum dwellers, in orphanages, hospitals, Nari Sewa Sadan and to leprosy patients in Shimla town and from Kandaghat up to Sunni- Tattapani.

    Recently, the foundation managed to support the elderly disabled homeless Sheikh Shamim & Om Prakash found in Shimla and Rajendra & Ganga Devi in Rohru and got them admitted in old age home at Basantpur.
