Two nabbed for burglary in a local shrine

Himachal Pradesh police nabbed two miscreants today as they were trying to escape after a burglary in local shrine here this morning.

The two miscreants Ramnarayan (23) and Najeem alias Ravi (20) hail from Muradabad district in Uttar Pradesh and were arrested in the wee hours from Jakhu forest while they were trying to flee after stealing  Rs 55,000 from Lord Balaknath temple at Jakhu.

As the priest (pujari) entered in the ‘Garbhagrehai’ of this temple for his morning prayer he saw the money had been stolen from the shrine and thereafter he raised an alarm. The police party arrived on the spot and succeeded to chase the duo from a nearby forest while they were trying to escape.

Police has successfully recovered the stolen cash from their possession. Police investigations have also revealed that both these people are scrape collectors at Amritsar, Punjab and
