India raises matter of alternate route for Mansarovar pilgrimage

Indian Prime Minister Narendera Modi has raised the matter of alternate route for Mansarovar pilgrimage from India to China as the issue has been reportedly figured with President of China Zen Ping during BRICS conference at Brazil.

Disclosing about the latest development, Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal former Chief Minister and leader of opposition of this hill state hailed the efforts of Prime Minister for raising concern of pilgrims who have to follow rugged and long route.

The issue had been raised before the centre in past but now Modi government had raised it with Chinese regime as another alternate route also pass through this hill state which is short as well as more secured but both the countries should agree on this issue.

Mr. Dhumal, who had also apprised Mr. Modi before his departure to BRICS about it, today claimed in the statement that it was one of the issues discussed on the sidelines of BRICS conference.

India have large number of devotees who worship load Shiva, most of them were following fatal route to Mansarovar lake which falls in China mainland and is considered as heavenly abode of Lord Shiva and his spouse Goddess Parvati.

Tough topography of Himalayas and hard route deprived many of the pilgrims to this religious place but after improving of bilateral relations between the two could resolve this issue pending for many years.

The issuing of visa and limited access by the Chinese administration to this pilgrimage centre are number of issues confronting the two Asian giants likely to have positive outcome, Mr. Dhumal hoped.
