Girls excelled in matriculation results of Himachal Pradesh Education Board

Girls shined in the matriculation results examination, which was conducted in March this year by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. Results were declared on Monday.

Balvir Thakur, Secretary H.P. Board of School Education said that 142128  students had appeared in the examination this year  out of them 80650 students were declared successful.

Mr. Thakur said that 26205 students were placed under compartment and  the pass percentage was 57.19 percent.

He said that 34 students bagged the first ten positions which included 20 girls and 14 boys. First three positions were bagged by students which included 4 girls and 1 boy, Mr. Thakur added.

He said that Diksha Sharma, Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Senior Secondary School Baijnath scored 682 marks out of 700 and bagged the first position in the state. Jatin Kanwar of Sarwsati Vidya Mandir Suni (Shimla) and Preeti Chandel of Aryan Public School Bilaspur, both got  681 marks each and bagged second position in the examination in the state. Nitika of Himalayan International School Fatehpur (Kangra) and Prerna Kargil of Summer Hill Public School Ladhwan (Kangra) each scored  679 marks and bagged third position in the board examinations.
