Relatives of patient died at IGMC protested in hospital

Charging IGMC management to adopt negligence while treating an accident victim registered here on November 19 and who died here today, relatives of deceased alleged today.

Senior superintendent of IGMC Ramesh Chand said that he got a letter from Mr. Mani Ram, brother of deceased Rajkumar who died in the hospital this morning alleging that hospital adopted negligence as the patient was not treated properly.

He said that FIR has been registered into this matter and enquiry has been conducted to fix the responsibility if anyone will be found guilty. He, however, denied of allegations leveled by the aggrieved family stating that deceases succumbs to a disease in the hospital.

ASP Sandeep Dhawal said that FIR has been registered against the hospital administration on the complaint of Mani Ram after the death of a patient here this morning. The body has been sent for autopsy to know the cause of the death.

The relatives of deceased gathered at IGMC hospital and staged protest after the death of the patient. However, it was handled out after the intervention of hospital management, police officer added.

Raj Kumar who belonged to Ambala and was running a business near Bishop cotton school, Shimla and was hospitalized here as he got injured after mishap at Shogi, outskirt of this town on Nov 19, 2013.
