High reaches of Himachal Pradesh get another snow spell

High reaches of Himachal Pradesh got another spell of snow as sky was mainly cloudy in the state dipping down the day temperature however night temperature climb up due to cloud blanket as western disturbances is prevailing in the state making the sky cloudy.

Report arriving here from Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul & Spiti said that Seven sisters’ hill, Lady of Keylong and other mountain ranges, Shrikhand Kailesh in Kinnuar, Baralacha and Manimehash in Chamba were snowing this afternoon. The Gate way to Lahaul & Spiti, Rohtang Pass was open for vehicular traffic as there was no report of snowfall. More over day temperature remained below normal due to inclement weather as it plunged by few degrees.

Minimum Temperature of Keylong recorded minus 1.2 degrees Celsius. The Kalpa in Kinnaur was low at 1.4 degrees, tourist resort Manali was at 2.8 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu was 3.6 degrees, Solan 4.4 degrees, Sundernagar 5.5 degrees, Mandi 6.7 degrees, Shimla, Palampur 8.5 degrees and Dharamshala 9 degrees respectively. Maximum temperature of Shimla was 15.9 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi district 18.6 degrees, and Bhunter 19 degrees, Kalpa 15.2 degrees, Dharamshala 22.2 degrees, Una 25.4 degrees, Nahan 22.8 degrees and Solan 21.5 degrees

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in next 24 hours.
