Senior National Vice President of BJP, Kalraj Mishra declared at a news conference in Mandi that the election picture seems to have become clear and the BJP in Himachal Pradesh was poised to realize its mission repeat. He said, during his tour to various parts of the state he observed an unexpected awareness among the voters first time during this election. People are aware of the various scams of the UPA government which had rocked the country.

They also had realized that the Congress led UPA government was responsible for the woes of the common man such as abnormal rise in the prices of essential commodities, LPG and diesel which had got on the nerves of the poor and the middle class.

He said a pro-BJP wave was sweeping across the state and the party was poised for the landslide victory. He said it seemed that the Congress had also accepted its defeat if the “frustration and irritation” in the star campaigner Virbhadra Singh, who went to the extent of threatening to break the cameras of the news person was any indication. His threat to send people to jail only indicated his frustration, as he was foreseeing his defeat. Mishra claimed that Himachal has developed by leaps and bounds during the BJP rule and the people had made up their mind to vote for the party once again. Congress party was upset with the tremendous performance of the BJP and various awards won by it from national and international agencies.
