NABARD adopts four villages of Sirmour

Nahan: National Agriculture and Rural Development Bank (NABARD) would adopt four villages of Sirmour District in order to make them model villages.

District Sirmour Development Manager NABARD Mani Negi said in a statement here today that Mangarh and Ganiana under Pachhad block, Bhuyira under Rajgarh block will be adopted by the rural bank to develop them. DDM said that all required facilities would be provided to the residents of these villages with the funds provided by NABARD. He said that main efforts would be to provide water and connect villages with roads. Mani Negi said that Chief General Manager A.D. Rattani had already launched the scheme from Mangarh village on May 10 last and assured villagers to arrange all facilities in village. CGM also inaugurated rural huts in village for the development of Tourism in area. She said that scheme for other adopted villages would be started very soon.

  1. cheerful initiative by NABARD but in my opinion emphasis should also be on education and skill development in such type of villages so that in real sense we can call these villages as MODEL VILLAGES.
