CJ mourns sad demise of advocate Rakesh Jaswal

Shimla: High Court of Himachal Pradesh today mourned sad and untimely demise of advocate Rakesh Jaswal. He was enrolled as an advocate with the High Court Bar Association in the year 1992 and started practice in District Court Shimla, but shifted his practice to High Court of Himachal Pradesh in 1994.  He had been Legal Advisor-cum-Standing Counsel of Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishava Vidyalaya and Municipal Corporation Shimla in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh.  He was also on the panel of Indian Railway for conducting cases in the High Court on its behalf.

Chief Justice Kurian Joseph expressed shock and grief on the demise of the young advocate. He also praised advocate Jaswal for his allegiance to the duty towards the court, clients, opponents, colleagues, in rendering legal aid and for providing effective assistance to the court as Amicus Curiae in various public interest litigations.
