Awareness rally on World Tuberculosis Day

Shimla (March 22): Indira Gandhi Medical College’s Department of Community Medicine will be organising an awareness rally on World Tuberculosis Day (March 24). The rally, with participation from medical/nursing and school students from Shimla will be flagged off at 10 AM from the main gate of the medical college by chairman-cum-principal Prof S Kashyap. Dr Naresh Gupta and Dr Naresh Mehta from Directorate of Health & Family welfare, Prof SR Mazta & Dr Anmol Gupta are among the organisers of the event.

A poster competition will be held at the college campus whereas an exhibition will be held for the general public. The rally will proceed from the college to Chaura Maidan through the Mall. Students will be making a TB Logo at The Ridge where a slide show will also be held showing different benefits given to patients by the government of Himachal Pradesh.
