Himachal takes part in Bangluru Tourism fair

Shimla: Karnataka Himachal Friends Association, Bangluru has welcomed the participation of Himachal Pradesh in the three day long Tourism and Travel Fair-2011 scheduled to be held at Bangluru in the middle of January. In a welcome communication addressed to Prem Kumar Dhumal who also holds the portfolio of Tourism Ministry and Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation Arun Sharma, Pawan Kumar Dhiman and all other office bearers of Karnataka Himachal Friends Association, Bangluru, have expressed their happiness for taking the initiative to organize the Tourism and Travel Fair at Bangluru.

Chief Minister thanked the members of Karnataka-Himachal Friends Association residing in the state for their welcome and all cooperation in organizing the event successfully to give boost to tourism promotion activities in the state by attracting maximum number of tourists from Southern states of the country. He said that efforts were being made to attract maximum tourists to visit Himachal besides motivating travel agents in the region to organize special tours to Himachal Pradesh where they would be welcomed. He said that although a large number of tourists from South had been visiting the state every year, but the event would provide them a peep into the tourism potential, flora and fauna and also a taste of the traditional Himachali cuisines during the event. He said that the state had large variety of cuisines, which differ from area to area and every dish had its own typical taste to relish. He hoped that with the help of the association the event would be successful and would be adding to the tourism promotion in the state.
