All acquitted in mosque burning case

Shimla: A fast-track court in Mandi on Wednesday acquitted 15 accused booked in the mosque burning case registered in 2005.

In the verdict, judge JN Yadav maintained that the prosecution could not prove the charge against any of the accused during the trail. The accused were charged for rioting and setting the mosque on fire at Jail Road in Mandi, besides obstructing public servants from discharging their duties. The incident took place on May 27, 2005 after an incident of acid attack on a girl by youth belonging to the minority community.
