Kangra girl tops HPPMT

Kangra: Ritu Rani, a student of local GAV Public School, has topped the Himachal Pradesh Pre-medical Test (HPPMT) by securing 747 marks out of 800, results of which were declared yesterday.

Disclosing this here today, the principal of the School, Sukhvinder Singh, said that Ritu Rani, a resident of village Jogipur in the outskirts of the town, had been a hard working students of his school. Daughter of a retired teacher, Ritu had ranked 307 in the CBSE PMT, results for which were declared last month. Jubbilant Ritu said that she had a dream to become a doctor and that has come true today. Ritu had last year been selected for BDS in IGMC Shimla but refused to join as she wanted to do MBBS.
