Indian Panorama Film Festival in Shimla from May 28

Shimla: The Directorate of Film Festivals under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will organized a three-day Indian Panorama Film Festival here at the Gaiety theatre, in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department, in which feature and non-feature films in Hindi, English and regional languages would be screened from May 28 to 30.

According to SM Khan, director of DFF, national award-winning films will be screened during the festival, which would be first of is kind to be held in Shimla. The fest would be inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni.
In order to add local colour to this festival, 15 offerings with a mix of feature and non-feature films are in plan to be screened. Critically acclaimed and award-winning film ‘In search of Malana‘, directed by Mumbai-based Shimlite Vivek Mohan, would be screened on May 30.

Film stars like Rahul Bose, Divya Dutta, Abhishek Pathak and Sivan are likely to attend the fest during their respective shows. Some of the films slated to be show are Haat, The Weekly Bazaar, Harishchandrachi Factory, Bound, Keshu and Antaheen.

Keshu: Directed by Sivan, Malayalam, 90 minutes
Supermen of Malegaon: Directed by Faiza Ahmad Khan, Himdi, 1.30 pm, 80 minutes
I am the very beautiful: Directed by Shyamal Kumar Carmaker, Bengali, 64 minutes
Malana in Search of..: Directed by Vivek Mohan, English, 5.30 pm, 70 minutes
Ijjodu: Directed by MS Sathyu. Kannada, 90 minutes
