Shimla: Heralding a new chapter of awakening among Himachali youth, Voice of Himachal (VOH) will be holding the first ever barcamp at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Shimla on June 28 as part of its endeavour to promote new-age entrepreneurship in the state.

Barcamp is a platform for individuals and companies to come out with their ideas and share future business proposals. Such camps originated in the Silicon Valley and are being organised across the world these days to bring people together on ideas.

The idea behind the event is to create a networking forum where professionals can come together on an annual or a biannual basis and interact. It is also a platform for startups to interact and network for future projects.

The series of barcamps by VOH will aim at germination of new ideas, seeding of initiatives and building up of an ecosystem to support new enterprises in the hill state. Secretary IT,  BK Aggarwal will be the guest of honour on the occasion. More than 100 participants from Himachal as well as other parts of India are likely to attend the barcamp.
