Kangra museum to get rare paintings from National Museum

Dharamsala: The Kangra Arts Museum, Dharamsala, will soon get 50 rare Pahari miniature paintings from the National Museum, New Delhi, as part of the state government’s efforts to revamp the museum. A memorandum of understandings was signed in New Delhi in this respect Director, arts, language and culture, Himachal, Prem Sharma said rare paintings belonging to Kangra, Basoli, Bilaspur and Chamba School of miniatures would be added attractions for international tourists visiting the Kangra museum. The paintings are expected to reach Dharamsala by September. A national seminar is also being planned at Dharamsala in September in collaborations with the National Museum.
