Kangra: A 29-year-old pilgrim Bhavani Singh from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh offered his tongue  at the feet of Goddess Kali in the premises of Brajeshwari temple here late last night.

According to temple Pujari Pandit Umashankar, it was around 9.30 last night when he saw a person lying unconscious in front of the Kali temple within the temple premises. Initially he thought that the person was drunk but later he saw blood spots, injections and an offered tongue in front of Goddess Kali’s statue.

Meanwhile, the home guards of the temple took him to the local civil hospital from where he was later shifted to Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College and Hospital in Tanda.
According to Dr Harjeet Pal Singh, registrar, ENT, the patient had tongue injuries, which were being treated. Dr Harjeet said the patient was normal but not in a position to speak right now.
