Five dead in Manali landslide

Manali: At least five people were confirmed in a massive landslide at Nehru Kund in the tourist town of Manali in Himachal Pradesh on Monday evening, while it is feared that more people may be buried beneath the debris. Though the victims have not yet been identified, it is feared that some of them may be tourists as well. Around 12 injured people were also rescued from the spot by Army and Border Roads Organisation personnel. Rescue work is still on but work is being hampered by frequently falling stones and gravel. Vehicular movement on the Manli-Rohtang road has still not been reopened.
