Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government has transferred Bilaspur deputy commissioner Rajinder Singh who has in the past been targeted by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for his alleged pro-Congress leanings. Singh has been replaced by Shimla MC Commissioner Devesh Kumar.
Interestingly, Rajinder Singh was earlier removed from the same post by the Election Commissioner during the Hamirpur bye-poll when BJP had complained against him. But later he was brought back as Bilaspur deputy commissioner, BJP considers him close to forest minister Ram Lal Thakur. Surprisingly, this time the government itself has taken the move, expecting BJP to again complain against Singh.
