Una DC’s residence turns into water pool

Una (Aug 13): The deputy commissioner’s residence turned into a water pool this afternoon as rain water inundated the premises as the city was lashed with record 350mm rain. Most of the government residences in the city were filled with two to three feet of water.

DC Una KR Bharti confirmed that his residence and other government residences were flooded by rain water. He said that Swan river was flowing below danger mark but heavy rainfall was continuing in the district, paralyzing normal life in the area. He said that no loss of lives has reported but heavy rainfall caused excessive loss of government and private property.
