Dehra: Following the arrest of about 100 Tibetan monks here by the Kangra police this morning, the protestors have now decided to stage a hunger strike. The monks were part of the protest march started by a group of five Tibetan NGOs to highlight the plight of people in Tibet. The protestors plan to enter Tibet coinciding with the Beijing Olympics later this year. Yesterday, China had lodged a strong protest with the Indian government over the march. The district administration had also warned the protesters not to leave the district.
