Shimla: Public Relation Society of India, Shimla Chapter, has received the first prize for its best achievement and performance in the year 2007. This was disclosed by B D Sharma, Chairman of the Shimla Chapter, who is also Editor-in -chief of Giriraj Weekly newspaper of Information and Public Relation Department of HP Government.
Sharma added that the society will introduce many new activities in the year 2008 and a national level seminar will be held in Shimla soon. More emphasis will be given on professionalism of public relation practitioners in government and non-governmental organisations.
About forty public relation officers of different government organisations, boards and corporations participated in the meeting.
The chapter is going to start quarterly magazines soon, which will include the different activities of the chapter and professional guidelines in this field.
