Nahan: Bodies of a 32 yrs. old woman and a nine years old girl have been recovered from Dhimki village on the bank of Markanda river, about 8 km from here on Nahan-Poanta road.
First body was traced when an idle suitcase was found by locals at Dhimki on the bank of Markanda River with parts of dead body in it. Later, they informed the police and handed over body of a nine years old girl recovered from the suitcase. When a police team led by S.P Punita Bhardwaj visited the spot, another suit case was found behind the bushes at the same place. Dead body of 32 years old woman was found packed in the suit case.
S.P. said that both the dead bodies could not be identified till this afternoon. However, modus operandi of both the murders appears to be same. Two separate cases of murder under section 302 of IPC have been registered in the Nahan police station. It appeared that both the bodies were thrown here after committing murder somewhere else, he added. Also, the police of neighbouring states have been informed and investigations are in progress, while the dead bodies have been sent for post mortem.
