Shimla: Himachal Kissan Sabha condemned the state government for deplorable condition of the roads in this district. Secretary, Himachal Kissan Sabha Sanjay Chauhan charged the state government for its ignorant and callous attitude responsible for this. The condition of roads has become worst and it is very difficult to travel, as most of the roads are full of potholes, ditches and some have turned into rivulets because tarring and drains have almost gone due to no maintenance. The conditions of almost all the main roads like National Highway No. 22 from Shimla to Kinnaur, Theog-Kotkhai-Rohru, Chailla-Chopal, Rohru –Rampur and Narkanda- Baghi are not good. Even the condition of roads in and around shimla is bad.

Condition of Theog-Kotkhai-Rohru is the worst amongst all the roads and long traffic jams for more than 10 to 15 hours are the regular feature of this road. Certain danger points have developed at Chailla, Hulli,Gumma,Chol,Nihari, Praunti,Dochi and Maindali etc. Loose soil and boulders are slipping at these points, causing danger to lives and vehicles travelling on this road. Himachal Kissan sabha demands that the state government must put additional Funds and efforts to improve the condition of the roads immediately.
